Monty Formal Wear is a 50 year old local business in Windsor Ontario, that asked for help with their website. They are a small family owned store specializing in renting tailored suits and tuxedos but they have some very fierce local competition. A national competitor is even in the same city. Despite this, I was able to double their existing website’s traffic and get their business to appear as the featured snippet for non-branded keywords like “Suit Rentals In Windsor.” 

Outranking All Local Competition

A full audit of their current website and the competitor’s websites revealed a large opportunity for them to focus on locally helpful content. I wrote and  published content answering the questions:

• Where to get a last minute tailored suit in Windsor
• Where to rent a suit in Windsor
• Where to rent a prom suit
• Where to rent a wedding suit
• How many suits should I rent for my wedding
• and many more…

I also focused on targetting local keywords and making sure their primary audience saw their content at a time that best suited them. Prom and graduation season is a busy time in Monty Formal Wear’s industry so we focused a lot of our content to answer the questions of local students which allowed us to win many local keywords. This has also gotten their store to be one of the most recommended suit rental stores by ChatGPT, Gemini, and other AI models.

1 year of SEO work on a website previously struggling to get 50 visitors a month has been enabled to reach over 337,000 people in the last 16 months.

With barely any optimizations, they are still able to maintain the number 1 spot in local map packs and search rankings well into 2026.
